The Foundations of Trinity United Methodist Church
The Theology and Mission of the Church
Trinity Church is a Christian Community of 400 souls that is a part of the United Methodist Church. We strive to be an open and inclusive people that practices a Christ centered faith grounded in four things:
- HOLY SCRIPTURE,
- The historical, theological and liturgical TRADITION of the church,
- The disciplined use of REASON, and
- A carefully pondered and self-reflecting relationship with life EXPERIENCE.
Our Mission is that of Making Disciples for Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.
We seek to meet this mission by creating and sharing ministries that work to:
- Create new places in our faith community for new people.
- Train and equip our young for faithful leadership in the world.
- Address the causes of poverty and hunger.
- End Communicable diseases in third world countries.
The discipline we employ is John Wesley’s “Three simple rules…”
- Do No Harm
- Do Good
- Love God
